Denise O’Leary, Founder of Purpol Marketing has been celebrating this week after being named in the list of the UK’s top 50 business advisers.
In a contest run by Enterprise Nation and Experian to recognise and celebrate Britain’s hard-working small business advisers, the focus was to give special recognition to those businesses that help Britain’s SME’s grow and succeed. Without these ‘behind the scenes’ professionals many of these businesses would not be in the position that they are today. The next stage is now a public vote, where each adviser in the respective category will be named the overall winner.
The competition is recognising business adviser expertise in the field of Branding & Design, Export, Finance and Funding, Human Resources, IT & Web, Leadership & Management, Legal, Public Relations, Sales and Marketing and Strategy.
Denise is shortlisted in the Branding and Design category and now needs the Wiltshire Business community to vote for her to secure the top spot!

Judges included Emma Jones MBE, founder of Enterprise Nation, Sharron Gunn, Director of Members ICAEW, Max Firth, MD of Experian UK&I, Dr Rannia Leontaridi OBE, Director, Business Growth at the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy, Marc Jantzen, founder, TheNub and Bev James author of Do it! Or Ditch it.
Emma Jones MBE said “Behind every successful small business is a network of specialists who know how to maximise an SME’s chances of thriving. As their companies grow, the founders and senior staff at SMEs often take on a range of responsibilities which are outside of their usual field of expertise.
These awards will highlight those who provide professional guidance to the engine of our economy.
Denise Commented – “”I am truly honoured and excited to be on this year’s shortlist of the Top 50 Adviser’s 2018. As a marketing business, being nominated for the Branding and Design category is a massive achievement, and acknowledgement of all the great projects we deliver on behalf of our clients”
The top 10 business advisers will be announced at an event in London on 12th March. Denise and Alison will be heading to the celebratory evening hosted at ICAEW in Moorgate, London; where all 50 advisers who have gone above and beyond to make a difference to the small businesses for whom they carry out work will be placed in the spotlight.
