Week 10 at Purpol Marketing! by Bronwyn Jesse

This week has been a particularly busy one for Purpol as we are thrilled to be announced as one of the 100 businesses to be championed leading up to Small Business Saturday! Small Business Saturday is a nationwide campaign designed to celebrate the success of the UK’s five million small businesses, publicising one business a day for 100 days in the lead up to Small Business Saturday on December 2nd. I’m so pleased to be working with a team that have had such a successful year!

At Purpol we are really excited to be featured at the start of Small Biz 100, and it’s actually our day today! In a short space of time we have had to think of ways in which we can celebrate the day with everyone, and encourage people to continue to shop local. As we don’t have businesses premises we have been celebrating online and part of our meeting on Tuesday was spent brainstorming offers and ways we can promote the concept of shopping locally as vital to the growth of the UK economy. If you haven’t already seen our offers on social media head over to our website to check them out! We are offering the chance to win a free one hour Skype consultation for any of your marketing worries, all you have to do is follow us and share the post on any of our social media pages- Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter!

We are also offering an introductory version of our Magnificent Marketing course, with 10 videos to help you in the development of your marketing plan, and this is completely FREE to access so make you sign up before the 2nd December here http://purpol-marketing-academy.thinkific.com/courses/magnificent-marketing-intro and use the code ‘smallbiz100’. On top of this, we are also offering the full online course with 50% off over the Bank Holiday weekend, which can be accessed here http://purpol-marketing-academy.thinkific.com/courses/magnificent-marketing.

I’ve really enjoyed the process of how to promote small businesses on our day, and has been a lot of planning, from designing infographics, scheduling our social media activity around the day, and designing the offers which we think people will get the most out of.

Besides this, we also had our third team meeting in Chippenham this week and this was a great chance for us all to catch up on the different projects we’ve been working on, and also present our animations which we all designed. It was great to see everyone approach the assignment in a different way, and we’ve now got a bank of videos to use in our posts about why business strategy is so important, so look out for these to be released over the next few weeks!
