Purpol Founder celebrates finalist status in prestigious business book awards.
Authors from across the country turned out in force to see the finalists reveals in the Business Book Awards and Chippenham author Denise O’Leary’s was thrilled to see her first book ‘WINNER – How to WIN Business Awards’ celebrated as a shortlisted finalist within the Specialist Business Book Category 2021.
The Business Book Awards celebrate the work of authors who have shared their industry or market knowledge, experience, and expertise in published book form.
The virtual shortlist reveal ceremony took place on March 4th, 2021 and included authors, publishers and all those related to the world of books. The 2021 Business Book Awards were open to all books published between 1st January 2020 and 31st December 2020. The awards reflect the changing face of the publishing industry, so are open not only to books published through traditional routes but also self-published books – the only business book awards to do so.
‘WINNER’ launched in Jan 2020 has already been an Amazon Number 1 best seller in the PR category. Within the book, Denise shares her award-winning process, telling the reader where to look for awards to enter, advising on what evidence to gather and providing tips on what techniques to adopt so that your entry stands out for the judges. Denise says “I was shaking with the live reveal of the shortlisted authors, and to see my book cover shown as a finalist in the Specialist Business Book Category was amazing. We also had great virtual networking opportunities to chat with the publishing industry. My publisher Panoma Press was thrilled to have 5 authors who made it onto the shortlist across different categories.”
The judging panel said they had been overwhelmed by the outstanding quality of the entries. There were 275 books submitted this year and they wished to congratulate each and every author.
The Business Book Awards recognise and highlight the quality and variety of business books in the market. They offer industry-wide recognition to new and established authors writing on a multiplicity of subjects for a diverse readership. They welcome entries from publishers and all authors published in the UK and instil aspiration in entrants and pride in winners.
The Judging Panel is made up of experts from business, writing, publishing, and other related fields, with expertise in their relevant category.
Denise concluded “ I wrote WINNER so I could share my insight as an international and UK multi-award winner and judge – so I do hope that it helps a lot more business owners, marketers and sales professionals gain the confidence to put themselves forward for awards. ”
The winners of the Business Book Awards will be announced at a virtual ceremony on Tuesday 25th May 2021.
