In line with the company’s continued growth they made the decision to sponsor not-for-profit racing team ‘True Heroes Racing’ at Castle Coombe’s Championship Races, formed of injured service personnel. CMD will be supporting the event with promotional staff in attendance to help raise funds for the team at Castle Combe’s Championship Road Races Round 8, taking place on Saturday 2nd July and Sunday 3rd July.

True Heroes Racing was originally formed in 2012 by a serving Royal Navy Warrant Officer as a way to restore a sense of direction for injured service personnel through direct involvement in competitive motorsport. They use the world of motorcycle racing to prove to individuals and the wider community that they can compete on a level playing field with their able bodied counterparts within the fast, frenetic and pressurised environment of top level motorsport. This team are truly unique, with all members having a UK military background, and multiple roles within the team, not just the riders, performed by injured service personnel.

CMD approached Purpol Marketing and asked if Purpol would help them generate marketing material to create promotional noise about the team and the great work that they do. Purpol were delighted to provide this support Free of Charge for such a worthy cause. Purpol met with CMD in their offices in Melksham in order to get a feel for the message CMD wanted to generate. This enabled Purpol to deliver highly impactful journal articles which could then be sent to local news editors as well as helping to suggest the best social media routes to channel in line with the company’s agenda.  Purpol Marketing helped CMD to create soundbite tweets which can be released on their twitter page in the lead up to the event to get support for the charity and recognition of their support. Purpol are delighted to continue to be part of CMD Recruitment’s growth and success.

Dan Barfoot – Operations Manager – CMD Recruitment commented:

“True Heroes Racing is an inspiration – a great team, driven by the competitive racing spirit, they are equals on the race track to their able-bodied competitors. CMD are delighted to support such a worthy endeavour, as they focus on what they can do rather than what they can’t do. We see that these team mates thrive under pressure and have shared camaraderie continuing the ‘family unit’ of the Forces in their racing.”
