Award-winning Wiltshire businesswoman to launch new book in support of Dorothy House Hospice
Afternoon tea, business inspiration and fundraising come together for a special event in Chippenham this September
Award-winning author and business mentor Denise O’Leary MBE is inviting the local community to join her for a special afternoon of celebration and fundraising as she launches the updated second edition of her book, WINNER: How to WIN Business Awards, in support of Dorothy House Hospice Care.
The event will take place at The Angel Hotel, Chippenham, on Monday 7 September 2026 from 2pm to 4pm, with all profits being donated to Dorothy House Hospice Care.
Combining a book launch with afternoon tea, networking and fundraising, the event will bring together local businesspeople, friends and supporters of Dorothy House for an afternoon focused on celebrating success and giving something back to the community.
Denise will share the story behind the newly updated edition of WINNER: How to WIN Business Awards and some of the lessons she has learned from helping organisations use awards to showcase their achievements, build their profiles and gain recognition for their work.
The occasion has an additional personal significance as the event will also celebrate Denise’s birthday.

“I wanted this launch to be about much more than simply introducing the new edition of WINNER. Awards are all about recognising achievement, so it seemed fitting to use the occasion to celebrate the brilliant work being done in our community too.
“Dorothy House provides such important care and support to local people and their families, and I’m delighted that we can turn a special afternoon into an opportunity to raise funds for them.
“I’m looking forward to welcoming people to The Angel Hotel for afternoon tea, conversation, inspiration and, hopefully, plenty of fundraising.”
Guests will enjoy a cream tea as part of their ticket and will have the opportunity to meet Denise and purchase signed copies of the new edition.
The afternoon will also feature a raffle, silent auction and other fundraising activities, providing additional opportunities to support Dorothy House.
Dorothy House Hospice Care provides specialist palliative and end-of-life care to patients and families across the local area. Every ticket sold for the event will contribute to its work, with all event profits being donated to the charity.
Tickets cost £29 per person, including the cream tea and event.
The book launch takes place from 2pm-4pm on Monday 7 September 2026 at The Angel Hotel, Market Place, Chippenham, Wiltshire, SN15 3HD.
