Two Chippenham business women, Denise O’Leary owner of Purpol Marketing and Alison Edgar of Sales Coaching Solutions; are celebrating being named as finalists representing both themselves and their respective businesses, and are immediately recognisable for both the Purple and Pink of their brand colours.

Purpol Marketing, a Chippenham based marketing strategy and bid writing company is celebrating being named as a finalist in the Start Up Business Category sponsored by The Enterprise Network. Sales Coaching Solutions, a ‘in the pink’ sales and customer service training organisation also based in Chippenham is thrilled to be a finalist in the Services to Community category sponsored by BBC Wiltshire, and Outstanding Excellence award sponsored by Thrings Solicitors.

Both ladies, who support each other’s businesses are going head to head in the Business Person of the Year category sponsored by RSM at the Wiltshire Business of the Year Awards.

Both Denise and Alison recognise that entering the Wiltshire Business of the Year Awards is a great opportunity to send out a clear message of excellence and confidence in their businesses. The judges having decided their shortlist of finalists are now arranging visits to see both Purpol Marketing and Sales Coaching Solutions to decide the eventual winners.

The Wiltshire Business of the Year Awards showcase excellence and confidence in business, highlighting companies performing successfully, demonstrating best practice, corporate ethics and innovation by proving they are one of Wiltshire’s best.

The entrants needed to provide background information on the start of their business, describe their products or services, identify what makes the business different and show the positive impact in Wiltshire and beyond. In addition, the judges considered how the business is promoted, how customers are looked after, business sustainability and responsibility and success measures for the future.

Judge Ramona Derbyshire, a partner at Thrings Solicitors in Swindon stated ‘That is when it gets really exciting for us … we get to see them on their home turf and get under the skin of what they are all about.’

With Purpol Marketing approaching its second birthday the recognition is a massive boost with client demands for bid writing expertise and director level marketing strategy support going from strength to strength.

Owner and Managing Director of Purpol Marketing, Denise O’Leary commented:

“What a phenomenal achievement, Purpol are absolutely thrilled to be shortlisted for these prestigious awards in both the Start Up Business and the Business Person of the Year categories. We measure our success on how much we help our clients win, and as a Wiltshire based business operating throughout the country, this local recognition is amazing!

Alison Edgar, Owner and Managing Director of Sales Coaching Solutions stated:

“Services to the Community is a very important award nomination for me as a champion for both Small Business Saturday and Enterprise Nation champion. I see the power of community involvement of businesses of all sizes and the reward for me is seeing other small businesses flourish.”

The celebration Gala Dinner will take place at Center Parcs, Longleat Forest, Warminster on 15th April 2016 when the winners will be announced.
