Chippenham based consultancy, Purpol Marketing, is celebrating again this week after owner Denise O’Leary has been named for the second year running as a finalist in the prestigious national Women in Construction Awards.

Now in its eleventh year the awards provide a showcase for the brightest and the best female achievers in the construction & built environment industries. The Awards evening takes place on Wednesday 1st March 2017, at the Hilton Manchester Deansgate.

Shortlisted female trailblazers in construction will seek to win awards in categories such as: Architect of the Year, Best Apprentice, Engineer of the Year, Mentor of the Year, Outstanding Woman in Construction, Green Leadership, Project Manager of the Year, Tradeswoman of the Year, Rising Star Award and Business Leader of the Year.

Denise is a dynamic professional and founded Purpol to offer construction companies a way to successfully bid contracts that were previously unobtainable. Her objective is to work with SMEs to guide them through major tender and framework bids whilst focusing the messaging on client needs.

As managing director, Denise takes the lead in securing new business for Purpol Marketing, identifying the scope of work for clients and then putting together the delivery team from a pool that includes herself, a senior consultant, an intern, a work placement student and a series of specialist associates. She is responsible for the overall running of the company and how it is marketed, as well as service delivery and relationship management for clients. So far Purpol have helped clients win places on many frameworks and individual high profile projects including:

·         5 Lots on £850m Traditional Construction Framework

·         6 Lots of a £700m NHS Modular Build Framework

·         2 Lots on a £400m Football Foundation Build Framework

·         2 Lots on £450m Regional Modular Build framework

·         2 High profile new clients for Recruitment client – both ousting incumbent

Purpol measures its success by how much its clients win, understanding that each bid is of unique importance to each client.

Aside from award success, Denise loves to share her marketing expertise and will be leading a workshop on how effective communication sells at the annual Women in Business Conference at Bowood Spa and Golf Resort to celebrate International Women’s Day, Wednesday 8th March.
