Purpol Marketing Founder Denise O’Leary named as Best Independent Consultant in National Women in Marketing Awards.
At a gala celebration in London on Thursday 10th Nov, Denise O’Leary was named Best Independent Consultant by the Chartered Institute of Marketing Sponsored Women in Marketing Awards.
This award recognises the independent marketing consultant whose work demonstrates a comprehensive understanding and application of marketing best practice, ambition and innovation, as well as being able to show a notable growth and development of their business practice and client list.
Denise had to prove tangible success in her approach, explain her career path to date, the motivation for working as an independent consultant, her approach to the discipline, and examples of work and the value delivered to clients. The submission was supported by testimonials from clients verifying the success achieved.
Chippenham based consultancy, Purpol Marketing, was founded by Denise in 2014 as an agency with a difference, specialising in the construction and manufacturing industries providing marketing strategy and bid management expertise.
Founded by Ade Onilude, in 2004, Women in Marketing (WIM) is established to empower women to fulfil their potential within the marketing profession. Ade was inspired to launch the WIM network as a forum to educate, inspire, connect, share and recognise women in the marketing profession.
The Women in Marketing Awards recognise the economic, social influence and impact of women to millions. Ade commented ‘The aim of the WIM awards is to promote, recognise and celebrate women’s achievements in senior leadership roles, who are making a difference.”
Denise was specifically commended for her work with SME’s and helping them develop best practice. Her work with the Cabinet Office is encouraging smaller organisations to bid for government contracts that would have previously been out of reach.
Denise commented ‘I am thrilled and so honoured to be recognised as the Best Independent Consultant in the Women in Marketing Awards, supported by the Chartered Institute of Marketing. As every entrepreneur and business owner knows, the ride is a rollercoaster, and the support of family and friends is so valuable. As a Chartered Marketer with the CIM since 2005, I always seek to apply best practice, regardless of organisation size so that our clients benefit. To be recognised in this way is very emotional and special, especially amongst so many great marketers and inspirational leaders.”
