PURPOL MARKETING TAKE HOME THE GRAND STEVIE® AND 7 AWARDS IN 2023 STEVIE® AWARDS FOR WOMEN IN BUSINESS

United Kingdom, 15th November 2023 – Purpol Marketing and founder Denise O’Leary MBE were named the winner of 2 Gold, 3 Silver and 2 Bronze Stevie® Awards in 2023 Stevie® Awards For Women In Business held in New York City, USA on 10th November 2023. With an additional 2 wins of Silver and Bronze for their client Cherishers 811 CIC, Purpol were also recognised with a Grand Stevie® Award.

The Stevie® Awards for Women in Business honour the achievements of women executives, entrepreneurs, employees, and the companies they run– worldwide.  The Stevie® Award has been hailed as the world’s premier business award.

Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word for “crowned,” the awards were presented to winners during a gala event attended by nominees and their guests at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City.  The event was broadcast via Livestream.

More than 1,600 entries were submitted this year for consideration in more than 100 categories, including Executive of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, Company of the Year, Startup of the Year, Women Helping Women, and Women Run Workplace of the Year.  Gold, Silver, and Bronze Stevie® Award winners were determined by the average scores of more than 200 business professionals around the world, working on six juries. 

Denise O’Leary MBE won 2 Gold Stevie® Awards in the Categories: Mentor or Coach of the Year – Marketing/Public Relations/Social Media and The Best Female Entrepreneur in Europe, the Middle East & Africa.

She additionally won 3 Silver Stevie® Awards for Social Change Maker of the Year – Disability; Mentor or Coach of the Year – Government or Non-Profit and also Most Innovative Woman of the Year – Government or Non-Profit for the work Denise has done raising over £280k in grant funding for charities since July 2021.

Furthermore, Denise was recognised with 2 Bronze awards in the categories Woman of the Year – Government or Non-Profit and Achievement in Equal Pay.

As Purpol have supported Cherishers 811 on a ‘no win no fee basis’ for grant writing during the pandemic, Denise secretly wrote award entries for Cherishers 811 CIC and was delighted to inform them they were finalist in both the Equal Pay and Organisation of the Year – Government or Non-Profit– More Than 10 Employees categories. Cherishers 811 were ultimately recognised with a Bronze for Achievement in Equal Pay and a Silver for Organisation of the Year – Government or Non-Profit– More Than 10 Employees.

Top 5 Awards are five best-of-competition prizes that were presented to the organisations that submitted the best collection of entries to the Stevie® Awards for Women in Business, in their own name or in the names of one or more clients.  The winners of these prizes were awarded the Grand Stevie Award trophy.

Winners were determined by a points system based on the total number of awards won in the Stevie Awards for Women in Business, with a Gold Stevie win counting for 3 points, a Silver Stevie for 2 points, and a Bronze Stevie counting for 1.5.
