PURPOL MARKETING WINS GRAND, GOLD AND SILVER STEVIES® IN 2024 STEVIE® AWARDS FOR WOMEN IN BUSINESS

United Kingdom, 11th November 2024 – Purpol Marketing and founder Denise O’Leary MBE were named the winner of 1 Gold, and 6 Silver 2 Stevie® Awards in 2024 Stevie® Awards For Women In Business held in New York City, USA on 8th November 2024. With an additional 4 wins of Silver Stevies for their client Cherishers 811 CIC, Purpol were also commended with a Grand Stevie® Award as 2nd ‘Most Recognised’ organisation, just behind IBM.

The Stevie® Awards for Women in Business honour the achievements of women executives, entrepreneurs, employees, and the companies they run– worldwide.  The Stevie® Award has been hailed as the world’s premier business award.

Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word for “crowned,” the awards were presented to winners last night during a gala event attended by nominees and their guests at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City.  The event was broadcast via Vimeo.

Gold, Silver, and Bronze Stevie® Award winners were determined by the average scores of more than 200 business professionals around the world, working on seven juries. 

More than 1,500 entries from organizations and individuals in 36 nations and territories were submitted this year for consideration in more than 100 categories, including Executive of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, Company of the Year, Startup of the Year, Women Helping Women, and Women Run Workplace of the Year.  Denise O’Leary MBE won the Gold Stevie® Award in the Categories: Mentor or Coach of the Year – Marketing/Public Relations/Social

She additionally won 6 Silver Stevie® Awards for Best Female Entrepreneur in Europe, the Middle East & Africa; Woman of the Year – Government or Non-Profit, Female Executive of the Year – Government or Non-Profit –11 to 2,500 Employees, Most Innovative Woman of the Year – Government or Non-Profit,  Female Thought Leader of the Year – Government or Non-Profit and Achievement in Equal Pay; for the work Denise has done raising over £480k in grant funding for charities since July 2021.

As Purpol have supported Cherishers 811 CIC on a ‘no win no fee basis’ for grant writing during and since the pandemic, Denise secretly wrote award entries for Cherishers 811 CIC and was delighted to see they were silver winners in the Social Change Maker of the Year – Race, Equal Pay and also gained recognition for Julie Edensor and Allison Dodd as Woman of the Year – Government or Non-Profit.

The Grand Stevie® was the Top 5 Award as the best-of-competition presented to the organisations that submitted the best collection of in their own name or in the names of one or more clients.  Winners were determined by a points system based on the total number of awards won in the Stevie® Awards for Women in Business, with a Gold Stevie® win counting for 3 points, a Silver Stevie® for 2 points, and a Bronze Stevie® counting for 1.5.  Purpol Marketing ranked #2 worldwide, only 3 points behind IBM in the #1 position!
