The Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service are the world’s top Honors for customer service, contact centre, business development and sales professionals.  The Stevie Awards organises eight of the world’s leading business awards programs, also including the prestigious American Business Awards® and International Business Awards®.

Winners will be recognised during a virtual awards ceremony on April 14.

More than 2,300 nominations from organisations of all sizes and in virtually every industry, in 51 nations, were considered in this year’s competition. Winners were determined by the average scores of more than 160 professionals worldwide on nine specialised judging committees. Entries were considered in more than 90 categories for customer service and contact centre achievements, including Contact Centre of the Year, Award for Innovation in Customer Service, and Customer Service Department of the Year; more than 60 categories for sales and business development achievements, ranging from Senior Sales Executive of the Year to Sales Training or Business Development Executive of the Year to Sales Department of the Year; and categories to recognise new products and services, solution providers, and organisations’ and individuals’ response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Denise O’Leary founder of Purpol Marketing commented: “To be awarded as a 4x winner by the most prestigious awards for business development and sales in the world is both humbling and amazing. What is really incredible is the recognition for our Kickstart Scheme and our summer programme of remote internships.

With the bid writing element of our business on hold during the UK Lockdown, we refocused the  business to provide grant writing support to UK charities on a ‘no win no fee’ basis, alongside training the next generation of digital marketers through 3 different internship programmes including the UK Government sponsored Kickstart Scheme.

This was a radical change to a payment on success model for the charity grant writing and moved our company into a totally different client area. By focusing support on two specific organisations – one that enabled those with learning difficulties to work on a farm; and another that provides care and befriending services to the elderly, Purpol have won over £100k of grants since July 2020!”

Alec Jones-Hall, co-founder of Cherishers “Thank you for taking the risk and believing in us – this money will change so many lives… you are incredible.”

Purpol understood that COVID-19 raised huge challenges, specifically for students. Work experience opportunities evaporated, and recruitment freezes left students without opportunities. In 2020, Purpol have supported 60+ students so far during the pandemic. As well as internships, Purpol’s digital Kickstart scheme was the first National Remote digital marketing scheme in the UK providing 50 placements for 16 to 24 year olds at risk of long term unemployment.

One of the judges wrote “This submission was a pleasure to read and provided a very clear summary of the initiative, results and impact. The expansion of the internship program from students to those claiming benefits was brilliant as well as the no win no fee approach for charity grants. I also really enjoyed earing the “what I want to achieve testimonials” and student blogs. the development opportunity is impressive but what also sets your submission over the top is the quality and clarity of your write up and attached presentation material.”

“In the toughest working environment in memory for most organisations, 2021 Stevie Award winners still found ways to innovate, grow sales, please their customers, and secure new business,” said Stevie Awards president Maggie Gallagher.  “The judges have recognised and rewarded this, and we join them in applauding this year’s winners for their continued success.  We look forward to recognising them on April 14.”
